A game changer for the container feeder ship industry.

The Eco16 container vessel stands for a new design concept incorporating all requirements from our charterers under the forefront of ecological and economical aspects for future-proof tonnage. A new hull design and modern engine technology lead to outstanding cargo intake and lower fuel consumption, giving a competitive advantage to our customers. This is our first project under the existing vision, and there are more to come.

The main features of the Eco16 feeder:

Continuous operation in parallel (pier-to-pier)
3x 950 kW aux. engine and a 900 kW frequency controlled shaft generator

Excellent manoeuvrability
CPP propeller, 55° high-lift rudder,
1,000 kW VFC-bow thruster

Outstanding cargo intake of 935 TEU at 14t
on average 35% more compared to existing ships

High reefer capacity of 292
with reefer monitoring bridges

Equipped with scrubber
ability to burn HSFO also when the new sulphur cap of 0.5% comes into force

New engine technology
results in lower fuel consumption (on average abt. 35% lower than peer groups) and superior slow steaming performance below 15 knots

Shallow draft design
allows up to 45% more cargo intake on 6 m in physically challenging ports
